| The views from the hillside at Sinies are simply awe inspiring. From here you can enjoy panoramic vistas across olive groves to the Ionian Sea, and the mountains of Albania beyond. Located on the main coastal road through the north-east of the island, this lovely village is delightfully traditional. Stay in the village and sample the local olives, or take a short drive to St. Stefanos for a good selection of restaurants or an afternoon on the beach in the secluded, shady cove. |

DIRECTION INFORMATION |

Driving out of the airport car park follow the one-way system round to the right and take the airport dual carriageway down to the main road. Keeping in the right hand lane turn right, drive past the football stadium on your right and continue on this road until you reach the traffic lights. Turn second left at the traffic lights ONTO COASTAL ROAD (at this point the sea will be on your right hand side) • Continue straight along this road, you will pass the Corfu Palace Hotel on your left, continue uphill, bearing right and you will pass the old Fortress on your right and car park on the left. Follow the road round to the right and drive under the archway of the old royal palace. Now the sea can be seen again. • >From this point on the sea will always be to your right even when you can’t see it. You will drive by Corfu’s old and new ports through two sets of traffic lights and then along a straight stretch of road to the left of which is continuous bars, clubs and restaurants. At the third set of traffic lights, main T Junction, you turn right onto the dual carriageway and head for the north of the island along the main PALEOKASTRITSA road heading for KASSIOPI. • Drive along the dual carriageway for approx 6 kilometres. At the next T Junction, turn right at the traffic lights and head for DASSIA and KASSIOPI. Drive passed the resorts of DASSIA and IPSOS, a long stretch of beach and shops, the sea being parallel to the road at this point. As you leave IPSOS the road starts to climb and bend. • Following the coastal road you will pass BARBATI, NISSAKI, BOURATIKA and the big NISSAKI BEACH HOTEL sign. Drive passed the signs/villages of KENTROMA, KAVALARENA, LOUSTRI, GIMARI, VLACHATIKA, KALAMI and KOULOURA and SINIES – looking out for the AG STEFANOS sign (old café bar, bus shelter on the left). Just ahead of this you will see the the sign for Pales Sinies turn left (set your mileage counter to 0) and follow the road up hill. • Soon after the sign for AGNITSI – round one more bend – you will see the stone wall and entrance gates ahead on your left for Villa Eleni. You will have driven 700 metres from turning off the main road. Return to Airport – Directions • Make your way back to the dual carriageway going in the direction of Corfu town - the junction where you turned right for Kassiopi and keep straight passing Lidl on your right. • From here you will not take the same route as when you arrived. • Keep in the right lane and go straight ahead at this junction following sign for the airport. • Continue on this commercial road until you reach the fork where you will bear right for the airport and follow road downhill to a small crossroads – here you have right of way. • Drive straight on at crossroads passing another Lidl supermarket on your left and soon after you will reach a junction. Turn right here and then first left. • The airport runway will now be in sight, turn left again and first right into Corfu airport |
